Sorry everyone, you get to hear from me two times in one week haha I’ll make this one short!
We had transfers today, so now I am with Sister Danso. oh my gosh, this is going to be such a good transfer. I can’t wait. Everyone sees us together and is like, “how did that happen?” they all say we are just going to laugh all day long because we both seriously laugh at everything hahaha also, she dresses soooo cute so we are happy about sharing clothes.
We are serving in Beehive this transfer so I am sooo excited. The Christmas tree is up already there and everything… i love christmas. i have beehive 5 times a week so that will be so good. i can’t wait. Prophets are the best.
this transfer i personally am focusing on Christlike attributes (you all know i get my patience from my momma. shoutout to angel). but for real. i am focusing on charity and patience. two things i think i really really need. so i found this scripture in 2 nephi 26 about charity,
“wherefore, the Lord God hath given a commandment that all men should have charity, which charity is love. And except they should have charity they were nothing. Wherefore, if they should have charity they would not suffer the laborer in Zion to perish”. it is impossible to do this work without having the pure love of Christ for each and every one that i meet.
then for patience, this is a good scripture in mosiah 24,
“the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord”. i think that pretty much just sums it up. give it over to the Lord and he will strengthen each of us. no matter how heavy our burdens may be, if we submit cheerfully to the Lord, our burdens will be at ease!
depressing news of the day:
on the way to grocery shopping, we drove passed the arena, and you would never guess what was on the sign… yep. justin bieber. coming here for a concert next year. cool. great. hey, i’ll get him to come to temple square and convert him. don’t worry. it will happen. pray for me that i won’t be disobedient and try and sneak into his concert. haha just kidding. i won’t… but it will be tempting.
funny news of the past 2 days:
we were waiting for the car to take it shopping and it was getting maintenance done at the church office building. it took longer than normal because one of the apostles had a car problem so he had to take his car there this morning… only when you serve on temple square do you have to sacrifice some of your preparation day for an apostle…
sorry for all the scriptures… this is what happens when you have 2 p-days in on week. but i was reading this the other day and really loved it. it is in 1 nephi 11, talking about the vision of the tree of life. it is talking about the love of God and it says, “i know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, i do not know the meaning of all things”.
Heavenly Father loves us each so much. he loves us perfectly.he knows us perfectly. each one of us. i love my mission because i can feel his love so strongly. not just for me, but for each person i talk to. try and find ways to feel his love more because i know that you will. if any of you are thinking of serving a mission. do it. it will change your life. it is not always easy, but it is so worth it. i love this mission. i love serving my savior and putting on my nametag every single day. keep being great. read your scriptures. pray. choose the right. i love each one of you so much.
also, happy veterans day to Granddaddy! thank you so much for all that you did and still do for our country. i never get tired of your war stories.
love you all SO much
